Watching church planting take place over the years, I have noticed that the supporters for the new church are often weighing whether they should be involved or whether they should wait on a request from those involved. In my book “The Genius in the Kingdom: How Discipleship Impacts Church Planting” I write:
“Sometimes the expectations of the planting leader and team are not realistic and it is not uncommon for the leaders involved in this case to lose their soft eyes and as a result, start to miss things. This is where the support framework comes in and the planting leaders that were a part of my research affirmed the intentional and focused support for a planting leader. The high emotion levels within the planting eco-system in which the new church exists can’t be ignored and those supporting new churches should see one of their roles in helping leaders and teams to navigate that environment.”
Intentionality is more valuable than you think!
The book is now available on paperback and Kindle from Amazon.
