If the Father’s goal ultimately is that all His people would grow up in every way into Christ His Son, then He must have had a methodology for achieving this reality.
He does have a methodology. He ensures all His people carry on their lives a gift given to them by Him for their ministering work. Then He appoints the apostles, prophets, evangelists, shepherds and teachers to assist those who ‘in Christ’ to fulfill the purpose of their lives and the gift that they carry. These leaders use the grace given to them to form train and release, so they focus on nurturing the people of God into the gift that the Lord has given to them and, as this process takes root we all begin to come into the “unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God…..to the stature of the fullness of Christ” (Eph4:13 ESV). From this point we can move further from the point where the deception of the enemy can be effective and thereby achieve the Father’s goal for His people that they, may “grow up in every way into Him who is the head, in Christ.” (Eph4:15 ESV).
